Ingredients

  • 170 grams Unsalted butter
  • 200 grams Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 100 grams Brown sugar
  • 3 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 125 grams All-purpose flour
  • 30 grams Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 100 grams Optional chopped nuts or chocolate chunks

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a 20x20 cm (8x8 inch) baking pan with parchment paper, allowing the sides to overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

Melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in a heatproof bowl placed over a pan of simmering water, or use the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Whisk the granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
