Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork spareribs
  • 0.5 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup Honey
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 stalks Green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Cut the pork spareribs into bite-sized pieces, if not already pre-cut, and set aside.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and water until well combined.

Step 4

Heat a large, oven-safe skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Add the spareribs and sear them for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. This helps to lock in the flavor.

Step 5

Pour the honey garlic sauce over the spareribs in the skillet. Stir to coat the ribs evenly with the sauce.

Step 6

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes. Stir the ribs halfway through cooking to ensure they are evenly coated with the sauce.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, dissolve the cornstarch in 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl to create a slurry.

Step 8

After 40 minutes, remove the skillet from the oven and place it back on the stovetop over medium heat. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 9

Optional: Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.

Step 10

Serve immediately over steamed rice or alongside your favorite sides. Enjoy!
