Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups Bread flour
  • 0.5 cup Sunflower seeds (unsalted, shelled)
  • 0.5 cup Chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast

Directions

Step 1

Add the warm water, milk, softened butter, and honey to the bread pan of your bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

Step 2

Sprinkle the salt evenly over the liquid ingredients.

Step 3

Add the bread flour, sunflower seeds, and chopped nuts into the bread pan, ensuring the flour covers the liquid completely.

Step 4

Make a small well in the center of the flour (but not deep enough to reach the liquid) and add the active dry yeast to the well.

Step 5

Secure the bread pan into your bread machine and select the Basic/White Bread Cycle. Choose the crust color of your preference (light, medium, or dark).

Step 6

Press Start and let the machine knead, rise, and bake the bread as per its cycle instructions.

Step 7

Once the bread completes its baking cycle, carefully remove the bread pan using oven mitts.

Step 8

Turn the bread out onto a wire rack and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 9

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
