Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Sumac
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the sumac, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

Step 3

Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is well-coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour for deeper flavor.

Step 4

Heat a large ovenproof skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2 minutes on each side to get a golden crust.

Step 5

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Step 6

Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 7

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with your choice of sides.
