  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaf
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 pods Black Cardamom Pods
  • 4 pieces Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Black Peppercorns
  • 2 teaspoons or to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 0.5 cup, chopped Cilantro
  • 1 sliced Lemon
  • 6 cups Water
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee or Cooking Oil

Directions

Step 1

Clean the goat trotters thoroughly under running water to remove any impurities.

Step 2

In a large pot, heat the ghee or cooking oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the cumin seeds and let them crackle. Then add bay leaves, cinnamon stick, black cardamom pods, cloves, and black peppercorns.

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are golden brown.
