Ingredients

  • 250 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 50 grams Almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground allspice
  • 100 milliliters Milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 100 grams Honey
  • 100 grams Applesauce
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 75 grams Dark chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and ground allspice.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix the milk, honey, applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth dough forms.

Fold in the dark chocolate chips into the dough.
