Ingredients

  • 3 whole green bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 2

Wash the green bell peppers thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Step 3

Cut each pepper in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, and lemon juice until well blended.

Step 5

Brush the oil and spice mixture evenly over the outside and inside of the pepper halves.

Step 6

Place the peppers skin-side down on the grill. Close the lid and grill for about 8-10 minutes.

Step 7

Flip the peppers to grill the other sides, and continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and slightly charred.

Step 8

Remove the peppers from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Arrange the peppers on a serving plate and serve warm.
