In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt. Create a well in the center.
Add instant yeast, warm water, and olive oil to the well.
Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
In a pan over medium heat, add a small amount of oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
