Ingredients

  • 200 grams Hazelnuts
  • 3 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Stevia liquid sweetener
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Almond milk
  • 4 slices Whole grain bread slices

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 10 to 12 minutes until fragrant. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Step 2

Once roasted, wrap the warm hazelnuts in a clean kitchen towel and rub vigorously to remove as much of the skins as possible. It's okay if some skins remain.

Step 3

Transfer the peeled hazelnuts to a food processor and blend on high until they form a creamy hazelnut butter. This may take about 5 to 8 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.

Step 4

Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, stevia liquid sweetener, salt, and almond milk to the hazelnut butter. Blend again until the mixture is smooth and creamy, adjusting the milk if needed to reach the desired consistency.
