Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch crust Whole wheat pie crust
  • 4 cups Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Apple juice concentrate, unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1 serving Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

If using a refrigerated pie crust, allow it to sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before unrolling. Fit the crust into a 9-inch pie plate, crimp the edges as desired and set aside.
