  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas thoroughly under running water.

Finely chop the onion, garlic, and ginger.

Step 3

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and continue to sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
