Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 0.5 teaspoons Cardamom powder
  • 10 strands Saffron strands
  • 2 tablespoons Stevia or monk fruit sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons Almonds, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Cashews, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Pistachios, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a non-stick pan over a medium flame. Add the gram flour (besan) to the pan.

Step 2

Stir continuously and roast the gram flour until it turns a golden brown color and gives off a nutty aroma. This should take about 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 3

In a separate pan, heat the milk gently and add saffron strands, stirring to dissolve them as the milk heats.

Pour the saffron-infused milk gradually into the roasted gram flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Add the stevia or monk fruit sweetener to the mixture and continue to cook on low heat, stirring continuously.
