Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 120 milliliters plain yogurt
  • 30 milliliters lemon juice
  • 4 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large bell peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 medium onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground black pepper, and salt. Mix well to form a marinade.

Step 2

Add the beef cubes to the marinade, tossing to coat thoroughly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

Step 3

After marinating, thread the beef cubes onto skewers, alternating with pieces of bell pepper and onion.

Step 4

In a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, add the cooking oil.

Step 5

Once the oil is hot, place the skewers in the pan. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Step 6

Remove the skewers from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
