Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin
  • 100 milliliters Coconut milk
  • 30 milliliters Soy sauce
  • 15 milliliters Fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons Grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 15 milliliters Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro leaves
  • 8 pieces Skewers

Directions

Step 1

Cut the beef sirloin into thin strips, approximately 2 inches long.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine coconut milk, soy sauce, lime juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground cumin, ground turmeric, chili powder, salt, and olive oil. Whisk together to create the marinade.

Step 3

Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Step 4

Soak skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.

Step 5

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Step 6

Thread the marinated beef strips onto the soaked skewers, leaving some space between each piece for even cooking.

Step 7

Grill the skewered beef for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the meat is cooked through and has grilled marks.

Step 8

Remove from grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.

Step 9

Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve immediately.
