  • 0.5 cup Green peas
  • 2 tablespoons Chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 small Green chili
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Oil

Directions

Step 1

Boil the potatoes until they are soft. Allow them to cool, then peel and mash them in a large bowl.

Step 2

Blanch the green peas in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, drain, and add them to the mashed potatoes.

Step 3

Finely chop the green chili and coriander leaves. Grate or mince the ginger.

Step 4

Add the chickpea flour, green chili, ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the potato and pea mixture.

Step 5

Mix everything well until all the spices and ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 6

Divide the potato mixture into equal portions and shape them into small round tikkis (patties).

Step 7

Heat the oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Step 8

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tikkis onto the pan, cooking in batches if necessary.

Step 9

Pan-fry each tikki for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Step 10

Once cooked, remove the tikkis from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Step 11

Serve the aloo tikkis hot with your favorite chutney or yogurt dip.
