Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons Hot water
  • 1 cup Unsweetened almond milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 pieces Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Heat water to just below boiling point, around 175°F (80°C).

Step 2

Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps.

Step 3

Add the hot water to the bowl with the matcha and whisk using a bamboo whisk or a small handheld whisk. Whisk in a zigzag motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and a layer of froth forms on top.

Step 4

In a small pot, heat the almond milk on medium until warm, not boiling, stirring occasionally.

Step 5

Once warm, remove the almond milk from heat and add vanilla extract. Stir to combine.

Step 6

Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the warm almond milk over the ice.

Step 7

Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the almond milk.

Step 8
