  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 4 sliced into thin strips corn tortillas
  • 0.25 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 sliced for garnish avocado
  • 0.25 cup, chopped for garnish cilantro
  • 0.5 cups, for garnish shredded cheese
  • 0.25 cups, optional for garnish sour cream

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the diced onion, garlic, and jalapeño. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent.

Stir in the ground cumin and chili powder, cooking for 1 minute to bloom the spices.
