Ingredients

  • 500 grams Fresh strawberries
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 120 milliliters Water
  • 10 grams Fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut them into halves or quarters for easier blending.

Step 2

In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely (about 3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and let the sugar syrup cool to room temperature.

Step 3

In a blender or food processor, combine the strawberries, cooled sugar syrup, mint leaves, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and no chunks remain.

Step 4

If desired, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove seeds for a smoother sorbet texture.

Step 5

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the mixture to a shallow, freezer-safe container with a lid. Chill in the freezer until the mixture is firm, about 4-6 hours, stirring with a fork every hour to prevent large ice crystals from forming.

Step 6

When fully frozen, scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and serve immediately. Garnish with additional fresh mint leaves if desired.
