Ingredients

  • 14.75 oz canned salmon (drained and flaked)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 piece large egg
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 stalks green onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 4 pieces lemon wedges (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned salmon (drained and flaked), breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard.

Step 2

Add the chopped green onion, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a compact patty, about 3 inches wide.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently place the salmon patties into the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 5

Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Carefully flip them using a spatula and fry for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until golden and heated through.

Step 6

Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 7

Serve the salmon patties warm with lemon wedges on the side for a bright, zesty finish.
