  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces spaghettini

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with 0.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.25 teaspoons of black pepper.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside (they will finish cooking later).

Step 3

Lower the heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened.
