Ingredients

  • 400 g Stollen bread
  • 50 g Unsalted butter
  • 300 ml Whole milk
  • 200 ml Double cream
  • 75 g Granulated sugar
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp Butter, for greasing

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan)/350°F/Gas Mark 4 and grease a medium-sized ovenproof dish with butter.

Slice the Stollen bread into 1 cm thick slices. Lightly butter one side of each slice and set aside.

Step 3

Arrange the buttered Stollen slices in the greased dish, slightly overlapping them to create layers.
