Ingredients

  • 1 head Chinese cabbage (Napa cabbage)
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 pinch White pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Wash the Chinese cabbage thoroughly and pat it dry. Slice the leaves and stems into bite-sized pieces, keeping the stems and leaves separate as they will cook at different rates.

Peel and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Set the sauce mixture aside.

Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat.

Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and stir-fry for 20-30 seconds, until fragrant but not burned.
