Ingredients

  • 500 grams Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 Green bell pepper
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Scallions
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breasts into thin bite-sized strips and set aside in a bowl.

Step 2

In the same bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and cornstarch with the chicken. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 3

While the chicken is marinating, mince the garlic and ginger. Slice the green and red bell peppers into thin strips. Cut the onion into wedges and chop the scallions into 1-inch pieces.

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the marinated chicken to the wok in a single layer. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the wok and set it aside.

In the same wok, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Return the cooked chicken to the wok along with the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes to combine.

Garnish with chopped scallions and serve hot.
