Ingredients

  • 500 grams broccoli
  • 120 milliliters orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1.5 tablespoons fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Wash and cut the broccoli into small, even-sized florets. Peel and finely grate the ginger and garlic.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Set the sauce aside.

Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the grated ginger and garlic, stirring constantly for 30 seconds until fragrant.
