  • 500 grams fresh okra
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

Step 1

Wash the okra under running water and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Cut off the tops and slice the okra into 1/2-inch pieces.

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds to the hot oil. Allow them to sizzle for about 30 seconds until aromatic but not burned.
