Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sausages to the skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
While the sausages are cooking, peel the onions and slice them thinly.
In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and butter over medium heat.
