  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter with the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the finely diced onion to the pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
