Ingredients

  • 400 grams salmon fillet
  • 300 grams penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 units garlic cloves
  • 200 milliliters heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoons red chili flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, season the salmon fillet with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the seasoned salmon fillet skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside. Discard the skin.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and butter. Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 5

Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Stir in the lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and optional red chili flakes. Mix well until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 7

Flake the cooked salmon into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet. Gently combine with the sauce.

Step 8

Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.

Step 9

Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top and serve immediately. Optionally garnish with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
