Ingredients

  • 15 oz Pumpkin purée (unsweetened)
  • 14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp Ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 piece Unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup Whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place your oven rack in the lower-third position to ensure even baking.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.

Step 3

Add the eggs, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and salt to the bowl. Whisk until all ingredients are fully combined into a uniform mixture.

Step 4

Roll out the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish if it’s not pre-assembled. Gently press it into the dish, trimming any excess dough from the edges if necessary.

Step 5

Pour the prepared filling into the pie crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula to smooth the surface.

Step 6

Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any spills and transfer it to the oven. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 35 minutes, or until a knife or toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Step 7

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack, which will take about 2 hours. This ensures the filling sets properly.

Step 8

Once cooled, optionally top slices with whipped cream before serving. Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
