Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork riblets
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.333 cup Ketchup
  • 0.25 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Sriracha (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped scallions (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

Rinse the pork riblets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and brown sugar to create a dry rub.

Step 4

Rub the dry mixture all over the riblets, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Sear the riblets for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Step 7

Remove the riblets from the skillet and set aside.

Step 8

In the same skillet, combine the soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, water, and sriracha (if using). Stir well to create the glaze.

Step 9

Bring the mixture to a simmer and return the seared riblets to the skillet, ensuring they are coated in the glaze.

Step 10

Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and transfer it to the preheated oven.

Step 11

Bake the riblets for 75 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even glazing.

Step 12

Remove the lid or foil and return the skillet to the oven. Broil the riblets on high for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the glaze.

Step 13

Carefully remove the skillet from the oven and let the riblets rest for 5 minutes before garnishing.

Step 14

Sprinkle chopped scallions and sesame seeds over the riblets before serving.

Step 15

Serve the riblets hot with your favorite side dishes, such as rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
