Ingredients

  • 2 medium Carrots
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 2 cups Cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup Green beans
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Wash and prepare the vegetables: Peel the carrots and slice them into thin rounds. Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Trim the ends off the green beans.

Step 2

Set up a steamer basket in a pot with about 1-2 inches of water. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the carrots to the steamer basket and cover with a lid. Steam for 3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the broccoli, cauliflower, and green beans to the steamer basket. Cover and steam for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until all the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.

Step 5

While the vegetables are steaming, prepare the butter sauce. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.

Step 6

Peel and mince the garlic. Add the garlic to the melted butter and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.

Step 7

Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Remove the sauce from the heat.

Step 8

Once the vegetables are cooked, transfer them to a serving bowl.

Step 9

Drizzle the butter sauce over the steamed vegetables and toss gently to coat evenly.

Step 10

Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
