Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, approximately 12 inches in diameter. Set aside.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season the steak with 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper, then sear for 2-3 minutes per side until medium rare. Remove from skillet, let rest for 5 minutes, and slice thinly across the grain.
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium, add 1 tablespoon of butter, and sauté the onions with a pinch of salt for 8-10 minutes until caramelized. Remove the onions from the pan and set aside.
