Take the steaks out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Pat them dry with paper towels.
Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch. This will help your rice cook evenly.
