Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Croissants
  • 1 pound Sirloin steak
  • 1 cup Marinated artichoke hearts
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 piece Garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Mixed salad greens
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Directions

Step 1

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

Step 2

Season the sirloin steak with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper on both sides.

Step 3

Sear the steak in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until your preferred doneness is reached. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Step 4

While the steak rests, prepare the aioli by mixing the mayonnaise, finely minced garlic clove, lemon juice, and the remaining salt and black pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 5

Slice the marinated artichoke hearts into smaller pieces if necessary.

Step 6

Slice the croissants in half horizontally. Optionally, toast them in a clean skillet with a tablespoon of butter for additional flavor.

Step 7

Thinly slice the rested steak against the grain for tender cuts.

Step 8

Assemble the sandwiches: spread a generous amount of aioli on the bottom half of each croissant. Layer with mixed salad greens, steak slices, and artichoke hearts.

Step 9

Top with the croissant lid and serve immediately.
