Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (8-10 oz each) Ribeye steaks
  • 1 cup Orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons Orange zest
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the marinade by combining orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, ground black pepper, salt, and red chili flakes (if using) in a large bowl. Whisk until well combined.

Step 2

Place the ribeye steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag (or cover the dish) and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.

Step 3

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F/200°C). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Remove the steaks from the marinade and pat them dry with paper towels. Reserve the marinade for basting.

Step 5

Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, or 160°F (71°C) for well-done.

Step 6

While grilling, baste the steaks occasionally with the reserved marinade using a brush. Avoid over-basting during the last 2 minutes of cooking to prevent burning.

Step 7

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 8

Garnish the steaks with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite BBQ side dishes such as grilled vegetables, baked potatoes, or a fresh salad.
