Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add the vanilla extract and egg, and mix until incorporated.

Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Divide the dough evenly into three portions.
