Ingredients

  • 200 grams Fresh spinach
  • 100 grams Cream cheese
  • 100 grams Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 pieces Bread slices
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 50 milliliters Milk

Directions

Step 1

Wash the fresh spinach thoroughly and chop it into small pieces.

Step 2

Finely mince the garlic cloves.

Step 3

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.

Step 4

Sauté the minced garlic in the oil for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the chopped spinach to the skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the leaves are wilted and most of the liquid has evaporated.

Step 6

Remove the spinach from heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 7

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, cream cheese, grated mozzarella cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined to form a creamy filling.

Step 8

Take each bread slice and flatten it using a rolling pin.

Step 9

Place approximately 1–2 tablespoons of the spinach-cheese mixture onto one end of each bread slice.

Step 10

Roll the bread tightly around the filling to form a log. Seal the edges by dipping your fingers in the milk and pressing gently.

Step 11

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter.

Step 12

Place the bread rolls seam-side down in the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, flipping occasionally, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Step 13

Remove the rolls from the skillet and let them cool for a minute before slicing them diagonally or serving whole.

Step 14

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or as-is.
