Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh spinach
  • 1 cup Canned artichoke hearts
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Pepper
  • 24 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • 1 piece Egg, beaten
  • 3 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté the spinach until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and finely chop.

Step 2

Drain the canned artichoke hearts and finely chop them.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Step 4

On a clean work surface, lay out a wonton wrapper. Place about 1 teaspoon of the spinach-artichoke filling in the center.

Step 5

Brush the edges of the wonton wrapper lightly with beaten egg, then fold it into a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Optionally, fold or pleat the edges for extra security.

Step 6

Repeat this process with the remaining filling and wonton wrappers.

Step 7

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot or frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Step 8

Carefully lower the wontons into the hot oil in small batches, frying for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan.

Step 9

Remove the wontons from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 10

Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as marinara or ranch.
