Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 300 grams Fresh spinach leaves, chopped
  • 200 grams Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or olive oil (for cooking)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the yogurt and water while mixing until the dough comes together.

Step 2

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Step 3

While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, fresh dill, red chili flakes (if using), and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Divide the rested dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball.

Using a rolling pin, roll out one ball of dough into a thin, round or oval sheet about 12 inches in diameter.

Place a quarter of the spinach and feta filling on one half of the dough, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges.
