  • 0.25 cup, chopped (for garnish) fresh basil

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the spicy Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the sausage with a slotted spoon and set aside.
