Ingredients

  • 400 grams firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 150 grams mixed salad greens
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 200 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Drain the tofu and press it between paper towels or a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

Step 2

Place the tofu cubes in a large bowl and toss them with the cornstarch until they are evenly coated.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove from heat and set aside.

While the tofu cooks, prepare the vegetables. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds, halve the cherry tomatoes, and julienne the red bell pepper. Roughly chop the fresh cilantro.
