Ingredients

  • 1 lb Raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Chili flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 whole Lime wedges (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, combine olive oil, honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, paprika, chili flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.

Step 2

Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until the shrimp are fully coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 3

Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand to avoid burning on the grill.

Step 5

Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking to keep them tender.

Step 6

Remove the skewers from the grill and transfer the shrimp to a serving platter.

Step 7

Garnish the grilled shrimp with chopped fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of citrus flavor.

Step 8

Enjoy your Spicy Sweet Grilled Shrimp as an appetizer, in tacos, or paired with rice and grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
