Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Prepare the rib rub by mixing paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar in a small bowl.

Step 3

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better texture. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

Step 4

Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the spice rub, ensuring they are evenly covered.

Step 5

Place the ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil, meat side up. Drizzle the olive oil over the ribs and wrap them tightly in the foil.

Step 6

Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours. This slow cooking ensures the ribs become tender.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, make the spicy sauce by combining ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, hot sauce, and soy sauce in a small saucepan. Simmer the mixture over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened, then set it aside.

Step 8

After 2.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Transfer the ribs to the baking sheet (meat side up).

Step 9

Brush a generous layer of the spicy sauce over the ribs and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).

Step 10

Bake the ribs uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through, until the glaze becomes sticky and caramelized.

Step 11

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting into individual portions.

Step 12

Serve warm with extra spicy sauce on the side and enjoy!
