Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 0.33 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce is well combined.

Step 4

Pour in the chicken broth and stir to deglaze the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.

Step 5

Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 6

Remove the skillet from the heat and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Step 7

Serve warm with your choice of side dishes, such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables, and enjoy!
