Ingredients

  • 1 pound Jumbo shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 0.75 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges

Directions

Step 1

Wash and pat dry the jumbo shrimp. If needed, peel and devein, leaving the tails on for presentation.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and Old Bay Seasoning. Toss the shrimp in this spice mixture to coat evenly.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the spiced shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Step 5

Push the shrimp to one side of the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Add unsalted butter and fresh lemon juice to the skillet and swirl until melted, creating a light sauce.

Step 6

Sprinkle the shrimp with freshly chopped parsley and toss gently to coat in the sauce.

Step 7

Remove from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges on the side.

Step 8

Serve immediately with crusty bread, rice, or a fresh salad to complete the meal.
