Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized Jalapenos
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven's broiler or set up a grill for high heat.

Step 2

Place the whole jalapenos on a baking sheet and roast them under the broiler or on the grill until their skins are charred and blistered, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove the jalapenos from the heat and place them in a heatproof bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap to trap the steam. Let sit for 5 minutes.

While the jalapenos steam, soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature or microwaving it for 15-20 seconds.
