  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 6 leaves fresh basil leaves
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0 cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving

Directions

Step 1

Begin by preparing the chicken. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides of the chicken with half the salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until they are browned but not fully cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
