Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Honey (optional, for slight sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl or resealable plastic bag, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and honey (if using). Mix well to create a marinade.

Step 2

Place chicken breasts in the bowl or bag, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl or seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. For best results, marinate for 2-4 hours, but no longer than 24 hours.

Step 3

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400–450°F). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off, and discard the remaining marinade.

Step 5

Place the chicken breasts on the hot grill. Cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F using a meat thermometer.

Step 6

Carefully remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.

Step 7

Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro, if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy your Spicy Grilled Chicken Breasts with your favorite side dishes!
