Ingredients

  • 400 grams fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 units garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 units scallions

Directions

Step 1

Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Set aside.

Step 2

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Grate or finely mince the ginger. Thinly slice the scallions for garnish.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, water, and cornstarch until well combined.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and swirl to coat the surface.

Step 5

Add the garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes to the hot oil. Stir fry for 30 seconds, or until aromatic.

Step 6

Add the green beans to the skillet. Stir fry for 5-7 minutes, tossing frequently, until the beans are tender but still crisp.

Step 7

Pour the sauce mixture over the green beans. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Step 8

Remove from heat and transfer the stir fry to a serving plate. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.

Step 9

Serve hot as a side dish or over steamed rice for a complete meal.
