Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Beef chuck roast
  • 4 cups Beef broth

  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 6 pieces Hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese slices
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, softened

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef chuck roast on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the beef to a large slow cooker.

Step 3

In a bowl, combine beef broth, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
